At the meeting, the related agencies and units reported the project implementation progress. Accordingly, the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment has completed measuring the cadastral maps of the project and resettlement areas on the total 178.6 hectares since 5 January while inventorying farm produce on the land area of 70 out of 122 hectares, reaching 58 percent.

Besides, the Culture-Tourism Week themed "Discovering the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu" was successfully organized with some cultural and sports activities.

The people’s committee of Son Dong district issued the plan and announcement of land revocation for phase 2 with the total area of 31.75 hectares of 42 households.

Tay Yen Tu Services Joint Stock Company has completed phase 1 of the project and continued building the surrounding gardens and planting trees at the completion rate of 60 percent. To date, the tourism complex lured more than 70,000 arrivals.

The representatives discussed and proposed a number of solutions to implement the next phase of the project. There are some arising obstacles during the implementation of the project. Particularly, a number of households have not agreed with the compensation plan for land clearance while some people building the construction works after the planning announcement have not well collaborated with the project staff hindering the inventory.

In his conclusion, Le Anh Duong affirmed the success of the Culture-Tourism Week 2019. Besides, he required the related units to accelerate the project progress in phase 2.

He requested the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment to collaborate with Son Dong district in building the implementation plan for phase 2 in April, in which specifying detailed objectives and duration. Besides, they need to continue collaborating with the investor to complete the land clearance plans.

The related agencies and Son Dong district need to work out the resettlement plans and inform local people. In addition, Son Dong district was required to promptly sign the submission of land lease and resettlement in phase 2 to the competent agencies for appraisal and approval by the provincial People’s Committee.

Besides, they were requested to cooperate with related units to define the land boundary under their governance to enhance the sense of responsibility.

Tay Yen Tu Services Joint Stock Company was requested to supplement capital and speed up the implementation progress of the items in phase 2 while considering implementation of the item of grass bridge from the cable car station to Dong pagoda, improving the surroundings, completing the lighting system and pathway decoration from the main gate to Ha (Lower) pagoda.

Tay Yen Tu cable car inaugurated on second day of Lunar New Year
