Mo stream festival luring a large number of visitors. |
The Culture-Tourism Week is a big chance for us to promote the land and people of Luc River and Huyen Mountain. The organization board will join hand to celebrate the inauguration ceremony of Ha Temple and Van singing festival at Mo stream eco-tourism site and launching ceremony of Than Nong Temple festival at Cam Ly commune. Besides, the local specialties will be on exhibition while folk games and public art performances will be organized.
This is the first time the district organizes Than Nong Temple festival which is a special feature at the Culture-Tourism Week. Can you give us more details of the temple and the festival?
The custom of worshipping Than Nong (the God of Agriculture) has been maintained for a very long time in Vietnam. In the ancient Kinh Bac (northern) region, this custom was closed to agriculture where the people wish for fine weather and bumper crops. The local government, businesspersons and sponsors had invested to build Than Nong Temple for many years and it has been completed recently.
As “navigating” Than Nong Temple on the tourism map, this is the connection between Tay Yen Tu and the famous Con Son- Kiep Bac relic site of Hai Duong province. Tourists can visit this temple for sight-seeing, perform the ritual and wish for good weather and developed agriculture on the way coming back Vinh Nghiem pagoda or traveling to Tay Yen Tu from Dong Yen Tu (East of Yen Tu).
The ritual wishing for fine weather and bumper crops will be performed at the launching ceremony of Than Nong Temple festival and then it will be held annually.
How does the district prepare for a proper and impressive launching ceremony and Culture-Tourism Week?
Than Nong Temple and the entrance pathway is being completed. |
Although this event is organized in many districts with participation and collaboration of different sectors, we define Luc Nam one of the key destinations to prepare carefully with clear highlights. Thus, the district established the organization board assigning detailed tasks for each member while supervising the assignments to ensure the schedule with the highest determination.
Up to present, the improvement of Ha Temple, the House of Van singing and other items have been completed while the road section connected to the National Road no 37 is accomplished. Besides, security and environmental hygiene are ensured.
As Luc Nam is an important destination on the journey discovering Tay Yen Tu, we will properly organize the activities to make a good impression on visitors.
Thank you very much!
