Making health record with updated information into general management software benefits the patients when they have their health checked because doctor can look up the health status, medical history without repeating several test for a quick and accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, especially in emergency case.

The early diagnosis and cure will increase the effectiveness of the treatment, reduce medical cost as well as contribute to a better management of health insurance fund.

Though the provincial leader has paid due attention to guiding the task, the execution schedule is still delayed comparing to the set plan. Apart from Yen The and Yen Dung districts which completed and updated sufficiently the data into the management software, other districts and city have only implemented about 50 – 70 percent of the volume of work so far.

The Medical Center in Viet Yen district is making the personal health record and inputting the data into the electronic management system. The steps include personal data collection, health examination, medical status collection and data input.

The second professional Doctor Bui Thanh Nghi, Director of Medical Center in Viet Yen district said as of September 2019, the center completed making health profile to 70 percent of the local residents.

The actual implementation showed several shortcomings such as the communication and instruction work were sometimes loose, classification of examined subjects was not carefully done, many locals gave insufficient data or did not attend the scheduled examination.

Handling difficulties

The provincial Health Department evaluated that making electronic public health record encounters several difficulties because of the dense population without strict management, especially in the surrounding area of industrial parks and clusters.

Some staff in the medial centers was not used to updating the residents’ data into the software. The health screening was not careful especially at the populous communes and towns due to lack of doctors.

To early complete and widespread the electronic health record effectively, the medical sector is highly focusing on instructing the hospitals in provincial level and professional hospitals to assign qualified staff with good serving spirit and experience in community activities to support the medical centers in implementation of public health examination.

The supplier of electronic health record software was requested to instruct the medical staff in the communes, wards and towns to input the date correctly; distribute stable management software with high access speed so as to ensure the integration among the medical establishment.

The Health Department has coordinated with the People’s Committee in the districts an city to boost up the communication and instruction, encourage the residents to provide personal information and have health checked on schedule.

The medical centers in the districts and city were urged to accelerate the schedule, arrange more examination points, enhance the general health checkup, sufficiently add the information in the electronic public health record.

Bac Giang sets up electronic health records to ensure urgency and accuracy

(BGO) - Realizing the province’s plan, at this time, localities in Bac Giang province are urgently setting up electronic health records of the local residents. This is an important task to ensure that all people are managed, monitored and provided with primary health care at medical facilities.

The Ministry of Health has piloted the electronic medical records (EMRs) system at 26 communal health stations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, and Long An provinces.

(BGO) –The People’s Committee in the northern province of Bac Giang (PPC) on March 13 held a conference to review the execution of the Plan No.1322 dated on April 26, 2017, about making the e-medical record, examining and managing the public health in the province as well as the implementation of the task in 2019. The event was chaired by PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong. 

Bac Giang strives to make E- medical records as scheduled

(BGO) -  The Circular No.46/2018/TT-BYT stipulates the electronic medical records (E-medical record) to take effect since March 1, 2019, with a specific roadmap for each period. The Medical Sector in Bac Giang province has instructed the local health care facilities to actively implement the plan so as to meet the proposed schedule.
