Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University produces hand sanitizer
Based on people’s increasing demand for hand sanitizer in fear of epidemic outbreak, the group of authors including Dr. Nguyen Van Luc, Head of Food Technology Faculty and his partners conducted research in February.

The authors used medical alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, glycerin for moisture, cursed and lemon essential oil, distilled water and food coloring.
The solution is made following guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) with antiseptic properties to protect users’ health.
Recently, BAFU has produced more than 2,000 litres and divided into small bottles (350 millilitre per each) which is easy to preserve, transport and use.

This product is used daily by the university’s lecturers, staff and students for Covid-19 prevention and control. Besides, BAFU gave more than 2,000 bottles of handrub to staff and teachers of 30 high schools in the province.
According to the university’s representative, this product is not for sale. All of 2,000 litres of solution have been used at the university and sent as gifts. BAFU will continue producing to provide the schools and needy organizations in the province for free.
