Bac Giang and Lang Son ink cooperative regulation to protect traffic infrastructure
On May 8, 2018, the Prime Minister issued correspondence to direct the implementation of the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway project and the addition of the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang section in the form of a build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract.

The project component to improve the road surface of National Highway 1 was completed and put into operation with tolls collected from June 1, 2018. The Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway was put in use with toll collection starting from February 18, 2020.
During the operation and exploitation, the Transport Department in Lang Son province regularly inspects and urges investors (Bac Giang - Lang Son BOT Joint Stock Company) to strictly and fully implement the signed contract volume.
Following the direction of the Transport Ministry, the two provinces discussed and agreed on the need for a cooperative regulation to manage and protect the road traffic infrastructure, improve the management responsibility of state agencies and raise awareness of people to comply with the law provisions and handle violations.

The two provinces coordinate, direct and guide the management and protection of road traffic infrastructure on the following routes: From Km 88+200 - Km 109+660/Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway and the section from Km 94+669 - Km 114+040/National Highway 1 in the territory of Bac Giang province.
The cooperative regulation mainly focuses on promoting collaboration in communicating, popularizing and educating the law as well as mobilizing people to strictly observe the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State's laws on management and the protection of traffic infrastructure, the provisions of the law on traffic order and safety among others.
