Bac Giang betters pandemic fight, facilitates immigration of traders to purchase lychee
Timely supporting people affected by the pandemic
According to a report by the provincial Department of Health, the province is still facing risk of Covid-19 infection. As of 13 May, there are about 4,800 foreigners staying in the province including 250 suspected people under quarantine awaiting for test results.

Besides, the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs directed the districts and city to accelerate reviewing and making list of people meeting the criteria to benefit from the supporting policy due to impact of Covid-19. Besides, the department set up a hotline to receive information and answer the questions related to implementation of the support packages.
According to representative of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the provincial People’s Committee approved the list and supporting fund for 6 districts including Viet Yen, Yen The, Yen Dung, Luc Ngan, Lang Giang and Hiep Hoa as of 14 May 2020. The other localities are awaiting for approval by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
The total cases surveyed for support in the first campaign are estimated at 251,623 people and tentative support fund is about 228 billion VND (9.8 million USD).
Facilitating immigration of Chinese traders to buy lychee
At the conference, leader of the people’s committee of Luc Ngan district said, the district has received registration of nearly 300 traders to immigrate Luc Ngan to purchase lychee. The district made plan and prepared for hotels, restaurants and guest houses to ensure necessary facilities and conditions for the traders undergoing compulsory quarantine.

Leader of the Department of Industry and Trade added, the department has made isolation plans for foreign traders coming to buy lychee. They will collaborate with the Department of Health and localities to arrange transportation to pick up the traders right at the border gates and hold a national live conference with participation 2 localities in China to continue fostering promotion and consumption of lychee.
The Department of Industry and Trade will agree on the isolation plan for Chinese traders coming to buy lychee in Luc Ngan district. Besides, the department will advise the provincial People’s Committee to support isolation fees within 14 days for Chinese traders coming to buy lychee.
Continuing to better supervision of the pandemic fight
Concluding the conference, the provincial Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong praised the localities for effectively surveying cases affected by Covid-19 to advise the provincial People’s Committee for timely support.

The departments, sectors, agencies, units and localities need to continue bettering the assigned tasks. In coming time, they must pay attention to reviewing and closely managing 3 groups of people including those returning from foreign countries not undergoing 28-day quarantine, cases tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 allowed to return but required to be in 14-day quarantine and under supervision, foreign experts, managers and technicians coming to work for the enterprises and investment projects in the province and Chinese traders coming to buy lychee.
Regarding traders registering for immigration to purchase lychee, the provincial Vice Chairman said the Prime Minister has not permit immigration yet. Thus, the Department of Industry and Trade must advise the provincial People’s Committee to ask for the Prime Minister’s guideline to permit the number of traders coming to Bac Giang to purchase lychee.
The people’s committee of Luc Ngan district was urged to collaborate with the Department of Health to survey the isolation places to ensure conditions for traders’ quarantine. Traders shall be picked up at the border gates while ensuring regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
The localities need to effectively implement support packages for the beneficiaries affected by the pandemic. Besides, the provincial Vice Chairman required the localities to continue bettering supervision of the pandemic fight not to become complacent although the pandemic has been controlled.
