(BGO) – The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD)
on May 10 coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology, some
agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural Development to test the operation of the steam and sterilization line
installed at Toan Cau Food Import – Export Joint Stock Company in Phuong Son
commune, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province).
The early ripen lychee in Luc Nam district is put in trial operation in the line with such close stages as material feeding, cleaning, treating with cold water at 4 degree Celsius and acid, drying, packing, sterilizing, package changing, irradiating to remove the stem borer and preserving in frozen warehouse.

According to Vice Director of the DARD Le Ba Thanh it is the modernest technology first ever installed in the province to sterilize and steam to preserve the fresh lychee.
Its new properties is to use organic acid to replace hydrocloric acid to treat the fruit, helping enhance the product quality; irradiate X-ray to exterminate the worm that effectively detects the stem borer.

The test operation helps synchronize the operation from the workers and equipment to well prepare the lychee consumption and export at the main harvest season.
Bac Giang lychees are at best quality this season
(BGO) – It was affirmed by Chairman of the People’s
Committee in Bac Giang province Duong Van Thai as answering the press agencies
about the lychee care and consumption in 2020 amid the negative impact of
Covid-19 pandemic.
MARD Minister urges Bac Giang to focus on safe livestock recovery, lychee export
(BGO) - A working
delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) headed
by Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong on April 26 organized a field inspection to and meeting
with Bac Giang province about livestock development and farm produce
consumption. The delegation was welcomed by Bui Van Hai, member of the
Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and
Chairman of the provincial People's Council.
Bac Giang estimates to harvest 45,000 tonnes of early ripen lychee
(BGO) – Bac Giang
province grows more than 6,000 ha of early ripen lychee in the districts of Tan
Yen, Yen The, Luc Ngan and Luc Nam. The favourable weather this year resulted
in high flowering and fruit bearing rate, hence the province is expecting for a
bumper harvest.
