Contract inked to consume Phuc Hoa early ripen lychee

(BGO) – According to Ngo Van Cuong, head of GlovalGAP lychee production group in Quat Du 2 village, Phuc Hoa commune, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province), Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company on May 6 inked the contract to consume 30 tonnes of local early ripen lychee with the price of nearly 30,000 VND (1.28 USD) per kg.  

Previously, Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Company Limited (Ben Tre province) signed the deal to buy 70 tonnes of lychees in Phuc Hoa commune. Its owner confirmed that the ordered fruits will be sold at domestic market and export.

The early ripen lychees in Phuc Hoa commune are at flesh forming stage.

Currently, the early ripen lychee is at flesh gaining stage. The severe hot weather forecast in upcoming day will bring high risk of impact to the lychee’s development.

To ensure the productivity and fruit quality, the orchards are now highly focusing on caring method, especially sufficiently watering the crop so as to avoid the bad affect to the fruits’ apperance.

(BGO) – Bac Giang province grows more than 6,000 ha of early ripen lychee in the districts of Tan Yen, Yen The, Luc Ngan and Luc Nam. The favourable weather this year resulted in high flowering and fruit bearing rate, hence the province is expecting for a bumper harvest.

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province approved for the project “Developing lychee become national product” in late 2017 chaired by the Department of Science and Technology (DoCT). Though several criteria have been achieved, it needs further drastic measures to make Bac Giang’s lychee a national product.
