Luc Ngan implements measures to support lychee production, harvest, consumption

(BGO) - The People’s Committee of Luc Ngan district in northern province of Bac Giang has issued the plan on implementation of the measures to support lychee production, harvest, processing and consumption in 2020.

Accordingly, the district People’s Committee directed the cooperatives, Association of lychee production and consumption to guide the growers the general orientation aiming at 100 percent of the lychee growing areas following VietGap and GlobalGap standards and meeting standards for export.

Luc Ngan implements measures to support lychee production, harvest, consumption.

They will collaborate with the Division of Plantation, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to send technicians to check and guide caring techniques for 99 hectares of lychee to ensure conditions to export to Japanese market.

The district encourages local people to shake hands with enterprises and cooperatives recognized by Chinese side to export lychee to China and supports enterprises and cooperatives in stamps of origin for traceability and package stamps.

Regarding promotion on consumption, facing complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, the People’s Committee of Luc Ngan district built the plan to support lychee production, processing and consumption with 3 scenarios as follow:

Scenario 1: The pandemic continue developing complicatedly for long time in Vietnam and globally

Scenario 2: The pandemic is in control but not ended

Scenario 3: Covid-19 pandemic is effectively prevented and import, export activities return to normal.

Besides, the district will implement promotion activities and provide information about the conditions for exporting lychee to Chinese market, 36 production unit codes meeting requirements to export to China and 18 production unit codes with 19 hectares meeting conditions for export to Japan.

In which, on the package of lychee products exported to China must include Chinese or English language with the product name, places of production and packaging, name of growers or production unit codes.

In addition, it is necessary to work with prestigious press and media agencies for promotion campaign and sign promotion contracts with the press agencies. Besides, these agencies are mobilized to support the locality in advertising farm products of Bac Giang and Luc Ngan district.

The district wil focus on online newspaper and social networks while registering for advertising lychee products in some e-commerce websites and providing information on mobile phone networks about lychee harvest season in Luc Ngan district.

Contract inked to export over 100 tonnes of Bac Giang lychee to Japan
(BGO) – Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Company Limited (Ben Tre province) has inked the contract to buy over 100 tonnes of lychee grown in more than 10 hectares in the communes of Tan Son and Nam Duong (Luc Ngan district) and Phuc Hoa (Tan Yen district) to export to Japanese market.

MARD Minister urges Bac Giang to focus on safe livestock recovery, lychee export
(BGO) - A working delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) headed by Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong on April 26 organized a field inspection to and meeting with Bac Giang province about livestock development and farm produce consumption. The delegation was welcomed by Bui Van Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial People's Council.
