Bac Giang born athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh wins two golds at National Athletics Championship

(BGO) – The National Athletics Championship 2019 is ongoing at Ho Chi Minh city under the joint collaboration between Vietnam Athletics Federation and Ho Chi Minh city Athletics Federation.

The championship is considered as the general pratice of Vietnam athletes to prepare for the upcoming SEA Games 30 to be held in the Philippines late this year and Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Organization board presents the award to Nguyen Thi Oanh (podium No 1).

It draws more than 400 outstanding athletes from 48 provinces, cities and sectors across the nation to compete in 49 categories.

The athletic team from the northern province of Bac Giang has 11 members joining the event. With the good physical strength, profession and desire for victory, athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh won two gold medals at women’s 5,000m and 3,000m hurdles as of September 18.

Oanh and her team mates will compete in the 1,500 mixed category today (September 19).
