Bac Giang born university rector is ranked in world top list for science announcement

(BGO) – Website Research.com has updated the top outstanding scientists worldwide in science announcement in 2023, including 13 Vietnamese scientists who are working domestically. It is done annually in 24 different fields by the website.

13 Vietnamese scientists were ranked in 7 fields of Computer Science, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Community Medicine, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

Prof.Dr Hoang Van Minh Rector of Hanoi University of Public Health is the first scientist to be ranked in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences.

He was born in Bac Giang province with more than 25 years of researching science and health economy. He is an expert in the fields of health economics, scientific research methods and medical statistics with hundreds of scientific articles in international scientific journals, many of which have been successfully applied in actual condition and highly appreciated by the Ministry of Health for its usefulness for the development of the industry.

In this ranking, Research.com reviewed the data of 166,880 scientists with the world's top publishing and citation productivity. A scientist's position in the ranking was evaluated basing on the D-index which is an index of assessment on the basis of scientific articles and citation value in a particular field, contribution rate in certain fields, in addition to their awards and achievements.

Research.com is an electronic portal for world scientists, led by Professor Imed Bouchrika, a data scientist. Research.com studies rankings in the academic community with various rankings such as outstanding scientist, best conference and journal as well as top university.
