Bac Giang builds road connecting Tan Yen, Viet Yen and Lang Giang districts

(BGO) - In order to create a driving force for socio-economic development, expand new development spaces and connect Tan Yen, Viet Yen, and Lang Giang districts, thus facilitating investment attraction, the provincial management board of projects on constructing transport and agriculture works is implementing a project to build a road connecting National Road 37 and National Road 17 with Provincial Road 292.

The 18.25 km-long road starts from Km0 + 00 (at Km80 - NH37 in Viet Tien commune Viet Yen district) and ends at Km18 + 251,15 that intersects with Nghia Hung - My Thai road in Duong Duc commune (Lang Giang district). The project includes building a new road meeting the grade 3 plain road standard, with a foundation width of 12 m and a surface of 11 m (including the two sidewalks).

The road is designed to have plastic concrete surface structure on the macadam foundation, with complete drainage system, ensuring traffic safety. At the same time, the project will build bridges over Thuong River, Lai Nghien canal and another canal in Nghia Trung commune (Viet Yen district). The bridges are designed to have permanent structure made of reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete with a width of 12 m and the design loading of HL93.

The project has a total investment of more than 678 billion VND (29.5 million USD) sourced from the central and provincial budgets. The People's Committees of Viet Yen, Tan Yen, and Lang Giang districts are responsible for organizing compensation and site clearance. The project is implemented in the 2021 – 2024 period.
