Bac Giang Business Association helps businesses develop

(BGO) - In recent years, the Business Association of Bac Giang province has overcome difficulties to continue affirming its position and role as a "bridge" between the local business community and all-level authorities as well as to protect the legitimate interests of its members.

Gathering, supporting businesses

During the 2017-2022 term, with the attention of the provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) as well as the support of authorities at all levels, agencies and mass organizations in the locality, the provincial Business Association has been growing stronger and stronger.

It has completed all of its set goals and programmes, contributing to the successful implementation of the province’s socio-economic development tasks. The association is really a common roof for its members to learn, share and cooperate to expand production and business in the context of extensive and intensive international integration.

During its operation, the association has always focused on building and consolidating its organization system. The number of its members who are enterprises of many economic sectors is increasing. During the term, the association admitted 184 new members, bringing the total number of its members to 990, an increase of nearly 43% compared to 2017.

During the tenure, the association also established the Business Consultancy and Support Center and a charity fund of enterprises in the province. Party building and development in enterprises have also received due attention.

The association has periodically organized the ‘Entrepreneur Café’ programme, through which many difficulties and problems facing enterprises were solved in a timely manner.

Connecting, encouraging businesses to perform community responsibilities

In addition to encouraging enterprises to actively promote technical improvement and economic development, the association has also regularly asked businesses to improve workers' lives and uphold the sense of social responsibility and community support.

In the 2017-2022 period, the provincial Business Association had over 300 collectives and individuals commended and rewarded by authorities at all levels. The association itself was recognized as a leading socio-professional organization in carrying out the province's political tasks and successfully completing the assigned tasks.

As a result, in the past five years, the association's members have donated more than 206,000 Tet gifts for the poor, with 120.5 billion VND (5.05 million USD) raised for social and 55.5 billion VND (2.3 million USD) for Covid-19 prevention and control. Many businesses donated large amounts of cash and kind, including Tan Thinh Construction Co., Ltd., Lam Son Construction and Trading Co., Ltd., 379 Investment Joint Stock Company, and Bac Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company.

After nearly two years of establishment, the charity fund of local businesses has received more than 120 billion VND (5 million USD) donated by the association’s members. This fund is used for poverty alleviation, building houses of gratitude, and other charitable social activities.

With these achievements, in the 2017-2022 period, the provincial Business Association had over 300 collectives and individuals commended and rewarded by authorities at all levels. The association itself was recognized as a leading socio-professional organization in carrying out the province's political tasks and successfully completing the assigned tasks. 

It received many certificates of merit, first- and second-class emulation flags from the Prime Minister, the VCCI, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Chairperson of the provincial People's Committee. Especially, during the 4th Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure, the association was honored to receive the third-class Labor Order by the State President.

Promoting the achieved results, in the next tenure (2022-2027), the leaders and members of the provincial Business Association will continue to uphold the spirit of "Solidarity - Cooperation - Integration - Development", striving to build a stronger organization that successfully completes the industrialization, modernization and international integration tasks, contributing to the comprehensive and firm development of Bac Giang province.
