Bac Giang city increases dialogues with residents
BAC GIANG - With the motto of respecting the people and being close to the people, the Party Committee and authorities of Bac Giang city have actively grasped the situation in localities and held meetings and dialogues with the people. Thanks to that, many issues of people’s concern have been solved right at the grassroots level.
Democracy, openness, responsibility
In recent times, Party committees and authorities from the city to the grassroots level have closely followed the local situation and increased meetings, contacts, and dialogues with residents.

For effective periodic contacts and dialogues, the city Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board has advised the city Party Committee to promulgate resolutions and plans on strengthening and innovating the leadership of Party committees and organizations in mass mobilization work. There should be specific dialogue plans in terms of time and location, topics and those of public concern.
In addition to regular organisation, Party committees and their heads, and authorities at all levels have also held extraordinary dialogues or those based on topics and target groups.
Priority has been given to practical issues such as site clearance, environmental sanitation, urban order and social security. Thereby, the heads of the Party committees at all levels can evaluate the performance of political tasks at the grassroots level and grasp arising problems and difficulties to direct the removal of them.

To make meetings and dialogues effective, Bac Giang city's experience is to widely inform about meetings before they take place so that people can prepare their opinions. The dialogue process must create a comfortable, democratic and open atmosphere.
Leaders of Party committees and authorities need to directly respond to each opinion. At the end, opinions will be collected and the settlement of petitions will be publicized.
Timely settlement of petitions
From meetings and dialogues, many opinions and recommendations of the people have been responded by the Party committees and authorities in Bac Giang city. Nguyen Hai Yen, Chairwoman of the Tran Nguyen Han ward People's Committee, said: "At the meetings and dialogues, people's opinions are carefully recorded. For those under the ward's authority, leaders can answer, discuss, and clarify immediately. For those beyond its authority, the ward will ask for direction from the city People's Committee."

After a dialogue with officials, youth union members and people last March, the Secretary of the city Party Committee assigned the city People's Committee to direct specialized agencies and People's Committees of wards and communes to regularly grasp the situation at the grassroots level. During the implementation of projects, the legitimate aspirations of the people have been sent to the city leaders for immediate solutions.
Also from meetings, contacts, and dialogues between leaders and people, the city launched a project to develop the system of grassroots cultural and sports institutions for the 2020-2024 period. To date, many projects have been completed and put into use, making local people very excited.
It can be seen that contacts and dialogues have made an important contribution to the performance of political tasks in Bac Giang city. In the coming time, the city Party committee and authorities will regularly direct the authorities to firmly grasp the situation at the grassroots level; assign people and agencies responsible for each specific content and task; urge and closely monitor the implementation progress. It will focus on resolving legitimate petitions and aspirations of the people.

BAC GIANG - Within the official trip to Bac Giang province, the delegation of the Women's Union of Xaysomboun province (Laos) led by Bunthavi Sinhvilay, acting President of the Women’s Union paid a courtesy visit to the provincial leaders. BAC GIANG- The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province (PPC) hosted a conference on June 27 to analyse the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), Public Administrative Reform index (PAR Index) and Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS) in 2023 while seeking solutions to improve rankings in 2024. PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong chaired the conference.

BAC GIANG – Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People's Army, has been named Secretary of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure.
