The session also saw the participation of representatives from the provincial People’s Committee Office, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Land Resources Development Centre, Bac Giang city’s People’s Committee and the project’s investors.
The international logistics infrastructure and warehouse construction project has been considered as a key project of the province this year. In the recent time, relevant agencies under the People’s Committees of Bac Giang province, Bac Giang city and Song Khe commune have actively directed the deployment of the project, particularly the site clearance process. With permission from the municipal People’s Committee, the Land Resources Development Centre has to date conducted four rounds of compensation for residents and handed over 23.38 hectares of land to the project’s investors.
However, the site clearance work is facing difficulties in confirming the revoked land area and verifying the origin of land usage, while many families still refused to give up their land.

At the working session, participants said the project’s investors have failed to take the initiative, resulting in slow progress and pending problems. The investors have yet to come up with detailed plans to implement the project and have yet to complete its environmental impact assessment report and land leasing documents, among others.
Concluding the session, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee Duong Van Thai requested the investors – Khai Trinh Hai Nam Asset Management JSC and Hoang Phuc Investment & Management Co. Ltd. – to speed up the progress of the project.
The investors were asked to work with the Land Resources Development Centre and the Bac Giang city People’s Committee to accelerate site clearance and prepare funding for compensation.
Thai urged the investors to complete the environmental impact assessment report in September, adjustments to the project before August 25, and a design document prior to August 30.
After accomplishing the fifth round of compensation, the investors should compile documents on changing the purpose of land usage and asking for leasing the area and pay relevant costs as regulated. The land must be used promptly to prevent encroachment from local residents.
Thai asked provincial departments, sectors and the municipal People’s Committee to help investors implement the project, deal with arising obstacles and handle recommendations and requests from residents.
