Bac Giang city strives to enter top five provincial governed cities in smart urban development

(BGO) – To effectively implement the Resolution No.156-NQ/TU issued by the Standing Board of Bac Giang provincial Party Committee about building and developing Bac Giang city in the period 2021- 2030, the municipal Party Committee has launched Action Programme with specific solutions.

It works out major targets periodically. Particularly, the service production value hits about 22 – 25 trillion VND (972.1 million USD - 1.1 billion USD) by 2025, rising over 2.5 times against 2020 figure and representing 45 to 48 percent of provincial value. The state budget collection excluded the land use fee increases 15 to 18 percent per year on average. The added value hits about 8,500 – 9,000 USD per person.

The municipal urban infrastructure is gradually revamped and upgraded.

By 2030, the city strives to gain average added value per person of 13,000 – 15,000 USD, mobilize investment capital for social development of over 165 trillion VND; complete expansion of Bac Giang city administrative boundary.

The city targets to be recognized as first grade urban before 2030 and enter top five provincial governed cities nationwide in term of smart urban indicator with digital economy accounting for 50 percent of added value in the city.

The municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board proposed nine groups of tasks and solutions to grasp thoroughly and implement the Resolution, urban plan and development; build government; boost up growth rate and economic structure change...

In 2023, the municipal People’s Committee will cooperate with the provincial sectors to complete adjusting the general plan of expanded Bac Giang city, additionally propose key projects into mid-term public investment plan in the period 2021 – 2025 and planned investment in 2026 – 2030 such as over pass of Bac Giang – Hanoi expressway, the route to link the urban area in the South West to the International Logistics Center and Dong Son port, expanded path to Dong Son bridge...

The city aims to make the regional plan, complete revamping the old apartments and beautifying the city, especially six communes to be upgraded to ward. The planning task is made synchronously and modernly with long term vision, highlights as well as save the land use to create connectivity in term of transport and urban to provincial localities and Hanoi capital region to tap the potentials effectively.

The center of city should be developed toward compressed urban with more high sky buildings to spend the land source for general space development and social utilities.

The city continues further administrative reform in close attachment with information technology application and digital transformation to public the operation of state organizations and satisfy people and businesses.
