Patient 1034 (a 34-year old man in Hai Duong city) returned from Russia and underwent concentrated quarantine in Hai Duong province. He finished medical quarantine period on 25 August and left the isolation area but he received the positive result for SARS-CoV-2 on the same day.

On 25 August morning, T.T.T went by taxi to Chi Linh city to meet patient 1034, his friend who had left the isolation area with no idea of being infected with Covid-19. They talked to each other within 1 hour. Then, T came back Bac Giang city and went to work by motorbike at Thanh Luan Automobile Garage on Giap Hai street. He came home on 25 August evening.

After knowing his friend was infected with Covid-19, T.T.T contacted for medical declaration at 5.30 am on 26 August and he was brought to the concentrated isolation area.

On the same day, the taxi driver in Dinh Ke ward, Bac Giang city who took T to Chi Linh city was also put into concentrated quarantine although he did not directly contact to patient 1034.

On 26 August morning, Song Mai commune carried out epidemiological investigation and disinfection around T’s house. 6 people in his family were requested self-quarantine at home.

Trade union at Vietnam Bank for Social Policies donates for Covid-19 prevention in Bac Giang province
