Some districts with high fishery production included: Tan Yen, Yen Dung, Luc Nam, Lang Giang and Hiep Hoa. Smooth consumption with average selling price of 40,000 VND per kg helped Bac Giang earn revenue of nearly 856 billion VND (over 36.3 million USD) from fishery production.
The main consumer markets are Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hai Phong...
According to functional agencies, the whole province currently has more than 12,000 hectares of water surface for aquaculture, including 4,500 hectares of intensive and semi-intensive farming, mostly high-yield and high-quality varieties.
To ensure this year's production and aquaculture plan, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development continues guiding people to proactively implement measures to prevent diseases and take care of aquatic herds as well as support farmers to apply automation technology to production to reduce costs and improve economic efficiency.
