Nearly 50 tonnes of lychee exported to the US and European markets
BAC GIANG – To date, Bac Giang province has consumed more than 20,000 tonnes of lychees, of which more than 14,000 tonnes were sold at domestic market and the rest was exported to China, Southeast Asia, Europe, United States, Australia and Japan.
Particularly, nearly 50 tonnes of lychees were exported to the United States and Europe. The smooth consumption brings joy to local lychee growers.

According to Tran Quang Tan, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, thanks to trade promotion solutions focusing on supporting businesses and cooperatives in Bac Giang province to connect, approach, negotiate and sign cooperation to export lychees to international markets, Bac Giang lychees are reaching more and more countries.
In the coming time, the province will further accelerate the consumption promotion activities. Many businesses have surveyed and signed contracts with gardeners to purchase and export lychees during the main season. The local special fruit entering high-end market segment further affirms the quality of Bac Giang lychees and creates reputation with consumers.

Currently, it is the peak harvest season of early maturing lychees with selling price ranging from 25-70,000 VND (1-3 USD) per kg. Several gardeners earn hundreds of millions of VND. This achievement continues to motivate lychee growers to create quality products in the coming season.
