Bac Giang enhances state management over industrial clusters

(BGO) - The supervisor delegation of the People’s Council in Bac Giang province led by Lam Thi Huong Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council (PPC) on May 30 supervised the law observance in investment attraction to industrial parks and clusters in the province in the period 2018 - 2022 at the Department of Industry and Trade.

As of April 2022, the province established 45 industrial clusters with total area of 1,728 ha which drew 232 projects with total registered capital of 32 trillion VND and over 45,000 labours.

The supervisors assessed that basically the projects have sufficiently executed the financial obligation to the state. However the management task at industrial clusters still have many shortcomings such as lack of concentrated waste water treatment station, delayed site work and project execution progress…

Concluding the event, PPC Vice Chairwoman Lam Thi Huong Thanh urged the Department of Industry and Trade to review and assess the difficulties to timely have solution; expedite the investors to the infrastructure to speed up the project progress; enhance the quality to verify the investment report, establish the industrial clusters and select qualified investors to execute new investment project to the industrial cluster.

The Department was ordered to research, issue policy to draw investors, basically handle the obstacles relating to switch the model of investor to industrial clusters' infrastructure from state to business management so as to increase the investment efficiency.
