The event drew registration of nearly 600 officials, party members, youth and locals who donated 535 safe blood unit meeting the standard of the Health Ministry. The blood was directly delivered to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to serve emergency case and cure patients.

Thus, 2022 Red Journey Programme ended in Bac Giang province with 2,235 blood units donated to the blood reserve sources at the medical facilities, helping recover the blood shortage in summer, exceeding 31 percent of the set target.

The Programme has been launched in Bac Giang since 2014 attracting dozens thousands of participants who gave nearly 17,000 blood units.

Since early this year, the Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation in Bac Giang province has cooperated with organizations, localities and medical facilities to organize 24 concentrated blood donation festivals, call on over 19,000 people to register and receive over 18,300 blood units, surpassing 14.5 percent of 2022 target assigned by the National Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation.

Bac Giang launches Summer Red Blood Campaign
