Bac Giang focuses on construction of key projects, disease prevention and control
According to a report of the provincial People's Committee, the province’s socio-economic situation in July and the first seven months of the year continued to record positive results.

Industrial production value in July reached more than 34.5 trillion VND (1.47 billion USD); raising the seven-month figure to over 255 trillion VND (10.9 billion USD), an increase of nearly 55% compared to the same period last year and equal to 61.5% of the yearly plan. Agricultural production saw progress ensured. Total domestic budget revenue in the first seven months exceeded 10.8 trillion VND (461 million USD), equaling 80.3% of the yearly estimate.
After listening to the opinions, Duong concluded that besides the achieved results, the socio-economic situation in the past seven months still saw limitations. He asked departments, agencies, sectors and localities to continue to effectively implement the directives, resolutions and plans of the provincial Party Committee and its Standing Board as well as the resolutions of the provincial People's Council. He requested highly focusing on site clearance for key projects, especially those using public investment capital and industrial park projects.

He asked the tax sector to synchronously implement management measures, hasten debt collection, step up inspection to prevent tax losses, and take measures to minimize “two-price” real estate transactions.
Authorities at all levels, agencies and localities must continue to concretize and implement the provincial planning, and adjust urban and regional planning schemes. They need to urgently review the socio-economic development targets, especially those with low results, for solutions; regularly hold dialogues with enterprises to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles facing them; and create favorable conditions for businesses to operate and develop sustainably. It is necessary to strengthen the suppression of crimes and ensure traffic safety, security and order in the locality.

He urged agencies at all levels to well prevent and control diseases, identifying that combating Covid-19 continues to be an important task. They should focus on providing full doses of Covid-19 vaccine for children and booster shots for frontline forces, the elderly, and people with underlying health conditions; while paying attention to prevention and control of other diseases such as influenza A, dengue fever.
