According to a leader of the provncial Department of Planning and Investment, despite difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the province still achieved many important and comprehensive socio-economic development results in the first 6 months of the year. Total State budget revenue was estimated at 5.145 billion VND, or 50.5 percent of the estimate, up 3.4 percent year-on-year. Total disbursed public investment capital was higher than the same period, while socio-economic infrastructure continued to be improved.

The fields of education-training and public health care have seen better achievements. New-style rural building movement has recorded positive results. People's life was stable and gradually improved; while defense-security, social order and safety were guaranteed.

Participants said that the above results were achieved because right from the beginning of the year, the provincial People's Committee issued plans and actively set out tasks and solutions to effectively implement the resolutions of the Government and the provincial People's Council on socio-economic development and State budget estimate in 2020.

Many suggested the province continue to pay attention to carrying out measures to attract a new investment wave after the Covid-19 epidemic in order to both increase budget revenue and create jobs for workers. The locality should continue to remove difficulties for and support businesses to recover production and business activities.
