(BGO) – The plan of “United
Tet Festival 2019” has been launched by the Labor Confederation in the northern
province of Bac Giang to build up a happy and cozy environment, helping care
for material and spiritual life to the laborers in the upcoming Lunar New Year.
The event will feature a wide range of activities such as offering Tet gifts, supporting “Trade Union Cozy House” to the members of trade union and laborers, art show, folk games, lucky draw, Banh Chung making competition and flower arranging contest among others.

The “United Tet Festival 2019” is expected to be held in the central area of the Industrial Parks and Clusters or at the enterprise that employs many workers. It will take place from January 20 – 30, 2019 (December 15 – 25, 2018 on the lunar calendar).
As scheduled, the provincial Labor Confederation prepares 2,300 Tet gifts, each worth 500,000 VND (21.5 USD) to offer to disadvantaged workers, officers, laborers; the poor and those suffering from work accident while supporting the expense to build 20 “Trade Union House” to hand over at the “United Tet Festival 2019” held by the Labor Confederation in the districts, city, trade unions of the sector, provincial industrial parks and enterprises.
Helping the poor enjoy happy Tet holiday
(BGO) - Through the mobilization of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Bac Giang province, many agencies, units, businesses and benefactors have joined hands to support the construction of hundreds of houses and prepare tens of thousands of gifts for poor households with especially difficult circumstances in order to help them have a warm and happy Tet holiday.
Tet gifts offered to impoverished child patients
President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) Nguyen Thi Xuan Thu on January 5 presented 30 gift packages to poor children who are undergoing treatment at Hanoi-based Viet Duc Hospital ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
Nearly 70 blood donation points nationwide for Tet
There are now nearly 70 places for blood donation throughout the country in anticipation of the coming Lunar New Year, the longest festival in Vietnam, organizers of the drive announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on January 6.
