Bac Giang leaders extend Tet Greetings to Chinese and Korean Embassy

(BGO) – The Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Van Linh on January 8 paid a visit and extended New Year Greetings to the newly-accredited Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2019 with the leader of the provincial Department of Foreign Affair (DoFA) and several Chinese enterprises investing in the province in attendance.

On behalf of the provincial leader, PPC Chairman Nguyen Van Linh briefed the Ambassador on the provincial general socio-economic development last year and affirmed the enormous contribution from Chinese firms. Currently, the province is home to 370 foreign direct investment (FDI) businesses, 99 of which are from China, second ranking in the numbers of projects and first ranking in term of capital among the countries and territories investing in the local area, he revealed.

PPC Chairman Nguyen Van Linh also expressed the sincere thanks for the Chinese Embassy’s attention to the province over the past years and pressed on the high appreciation for the relationship with Chinese partners. The provincial leader wished the Embassy and the Ambassador to continue acting as the bridge to help Bac Giang province to swear with a Chinese province, hence supporting each other toward a mutual development.

On the occasion of the upcoming Year of the Pig 2019, the PPC Chairman sent the Tet Greetings to Ambassador Xiong and all staff of the Chinese Embassy to Vietnam, hoping for a glorious development in the relations between China and Vietnam in general and relation with Bac Giang province in particular.

Ambassador Xiong Bo thanked the provincial leader for their warm visit and greeting, affirming that the Chinese Government and Party highly appreciated the traditional bilateral friendship. Personally, the Ambassador has supported the strategic coordination programmes for a comprehensive development between the two nations in general, including Bac Giang province. The Chinese Ambassador is always ready to help deal with the difficulties in investment attraction and act as a bridge to introduce the Chinese enterprises to Bac Giang.

Besides, Ambassador Xiong shared that the Chinese firms in the province highly speak of the due attention and favorable condition created by the Bac Giang’s competent agencies and people during their operation.

At the same day, the PPC Vice Permanent Chairman Lai Thanh Son and DoFA leader visited and extended the Tet Greetings to the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam. The delegates were welcomed by Minister Counsellor Kim Saeng.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Son briefly informed the Minister Counsellor Kim Saeng about the socio-economy and investment from RoK’s businesses in the local area. He stressed that RoK is the first ranking country in terms of the investment project numbers in the province (accounting for over 62 percent of the total number of FDI projects), which positively contributes to the local socio-economic growth.

Minister Counsellor Kim Saeng expressed his delight and belief in the close diplomacy relation between RoK and Vietnam in general and relation with Bac Giang province in particular. He highly evaluated the local potentials, geological advantages and investment environment, affirming to continuously facilitate and connect the RoK’s enterprises to seize for investment opportunities and relationships in the province.

Vice Chairman Son took the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year 2019 to extend the Tet Greetings to the Minister Counsellor and all the officers of the RoK’s Embassy to Vietnam as well as wish for more evolutional bilateral relation in general and relation with Bac Giang province in particular.
