Bac Giang enterprises at IP employ more than 15,000 labourers in Q1

BAC GIANG - In the first quarter of this year, the enterprises, especially foreign direct investment (FDI) one at the industrial parks (IP) in Bac Giang province maintained good growth, reported the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board.

Many businesses are expanding so they need to recruit more workers. Dozens of companies annouced labor recruitment, 13 of which recruited more than 15,000 thousand people, including unskilled and highly qualified human resources.

Some big employers are New Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. (Van Trung IP) with 6,000 employees, Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. with more than 3,000 people, Fuyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (Quang Chau IP) with 2,500 people, Seojin Vietnam Co.,Ltd (Song Khe – Noi Hoang IP) with nearly 1,300 workers...

So far, the enterprises in local IP have recruited more than 15,000 new workers to ensure the production needs in the first half of this year.

Now, there are about 191,000 labourers working at the provincial IP (up about 35,000 peope compared to the first quarter of 2023), including 7,000 foreigners.

Currently, the whole province has more than 9,500 operating enterprises, including nearly 470 FDI companies. The businesses create jobs for more than 306,000 workers, about 80% of whom are native.

It is forecast that this year, businesses will need to recruit about 100,000 employees.

To help businesses seek human resources, the Provincial People's Committee has organized many working delegations to neighboring provinces to lure more laboureres to work in Bac Giang province.

The province committed to creating favorable conditions in infrastructure, welfare, ensuring social security with strict implementation of legal regulations for workers when coming to work in Bac Giang.
