Bac Giang issues Programme on cooperation enhancement, promotion of Foreign Non-Governmental Organization’ Assistance 2020-2025.

(BGO) - The Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province signed the Decision No 854/QD-UBND dated 7 May 2020  to issue the provincial Programme on the Enhancement of Cooperation and Promotion of Foreign Non-Governmental Organization’ (NGO)’ Assistance in the period of 2020-2025. 

The Programme regulates the principles for NGO’s assistance mobilization in 2020-2025 period. 

Particularly, it is required to comply with the external guidelines and policies of the Communist Party and Vietnam’s laws; be in compliance with the socio-economic development plans of the province and each sector and locality; ensure stable political security and social order in the locality implementing assistance programmes, projects and aid packages; enhance close collaboration among the departments, sectors, localities and units in mobilizing, receiving and implementing assistance resources and managing operation of NGOs; meet demands for human resources, mobilization fund and counterpart fund for implementation of the programmes and projects.

The Programme is aimed to intensify cooperation and mobilization and enhance efficiency of NGO’s assistance contributing to socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction of the province while fostering friendly and cooperative relationships between Bac Giang, NGOs and other countries.

The orientations for NGO’s cooperation and mobilization in the next period must be in conformity with the socio-economic development orientations and poverty reduction programme of the province, development plans and real situation of each sector and locality.

In order to strengthen cooperation and mobilization of NGO’s assistance in the province in 2020-2025, the Programme provides 5 groups of measures including raising awareness of NGO affairs, completing policies and mechanism, enhancing capacity of mobilization and utilization of NGO’s assistance, strengthening dissemination of information and improving inspection and evaluation to enhance efficiency.

The provincial Department of Foreign Affairs shall act as focal point agency in cooperation and mobilization of NGO’s assistance, collaborate with the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Finance, other related agencies, people’s committee of the districts and city and provincial organizations and unions to implement this Programme.

(BGO) – The working delegation from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) and the People’s Committee in Yen The district, Bac Giang province has recently met the Republic of Korea’s Good People International (GPI) to discuss the execution of the practical social welfare projects for the vulnerable groups in Bac Giang province.
