Bac Giang leader joins livestream to boost lychee sales

BAC GIANG – Leader of Bac Giang province joined content creators in a livestream event on June 29 to promote Luc Ngan lychees, demonstrating their commitment to supporting farmers in digital commerce and expanding market reach nationwide.

The event was part of the “Luc Ngan lychee week – Pride of Vietnamese agriculture” programme organised by the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh (in white shirt) joins content creators in livestreaming lychee sales at an orchard in Phi Dien commune, Luc Ngan district.

It aimed to introduce Bac Giang’s signature fruit to domestic and international consumers, showcasing production processes and sales methods on digital platforms.

Participating were Pham Van Thinh, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee, representatives of TikTok Vietnam, Sendo Farm, content creators, farmers, and local residents.

The livestream began at nearly 10 a.m. in Phi Dien commune, Luc Ngan district, attracting thousands of viewers and generating continuous orders despite heavy rain. Tens of tonnes of lychees were sold to major markets such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and central provinces.

This marked the first time a provincial leader directly participated in livestream sales, reflecting Bac Giang’s proactive digital transformation strategy in agriculture. Thinh introduced the lychee’s quality, answered consumers’ questions, and finalised orders on the spot.

The technical team coordinates to organise the online market session.

He emphasised that the initiative is crucial not only for economic growth but also for changing mindsets in agricultural development, enabling farmers to master online sales channels and build strong brands.

The province will continue supporting businesses, cooperatives, and digital platforms to promote sustainable and modern agriculture.

Thinh also praised TikTok Vietnam, Sendo Farm, local authorities, cooperatives, and content creators for their coordination and creativity, which inspire farmers and bring Bac Giang’s signature fruit closer to consumers nationwide.
