Bac Giang: More than 87% of businesses use electronic invoices generated from cash registers

Updated: 17:55, 06/09/2024

BAC GIANG - To support people and businesses to use electronic invoices (E-invoices) quickly and conveniently, improve management efficiency and prevent tax losses in the retail sector, since the end of 2022, the Taxation Department of Bac Giang province has started using E-invoices generated from cash registers according to the provisions of the Law on Tax Administration.

This E- invoice is applied to enterprises and business households that pay taxes according to the declaration method and have a direct retail model to consumers such as: Food and beverage business groups, restaurants, hotels; retail goods groups (shopping centers, supermarkets, consumer goods retail); retail pharmaceutical groups; other service groups...

Co.opmart Bac Giang supermarket issues electronic invoices generated from the cash register immediately after sales.

The invoice is connected to the tax authority to manage the seller's actual revenue.

According to the Provincial Taxation Department, after more than a year of implementation, up to now, 1,016 business establishments have successfully registered to use E-invoices generated from cash registers, reaching more than 87% of the total number of business establishments subject to mandatory implementation, up more than 900 cases compared to the end of 2023.

This invoice has several advantages such as: Sellers can issue invoices immediately to customers when transactions occur without signing in the invoice, proactively correct errors...

Because the invoices are connected to electronic data with tax authorities, the Tax sector can manage them closely, creating transparency and avoiding tax losses.

To achieve the above results, the Provincial Taxation Department has recently requested regional tax branches to focus on reviewing enterprises and individual business households that are subject to invoice usage to implement and ensure compliance with regulations.

Based on the review results, the Provincial Taxation Department assigns targets to each specialized department, regional tax branch, tax team and tax management officer to focus on guiding, supporting, and urging taxpayers to apply according to the plan.
