Bac Giang offers free meals for Covid-19 workers in 21 days
On June 3, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan The Tuan signed to issue the document approving to support the labourers (F0 case) who are working at local businesses and treated for Covid-19 at the provincial treatment facilities.

The Government Resolution No.16/NQ-CP on February 8, 2021 specified that workers of companies in Bac Giang province (except for those in poor and near poor households) must pay for their meal charge of 80,000 VND per person per day to the centralized isolation establishments; the state budget only supports the cost of transport, test and living demand during the quarantine period.
However, thousands of workers now encounter many difficulties. They must stop working, isolate for treatment without any income. Many of them even come from other provinces. To recover the disadvantages, the province decided to offer free meals in 21 days to these cases.
The supported expenses are mobilized from the donation and sponsor by organizations and individuals for Covid-19 prevention and control which is now managed by the provincial Fatherland Front’s Committee. Over 2.6 billion VND (112,800 USD) will be used as the first support via the treatment facilities.
As of June 4, Bac Giang province quarantined to treat about 2,900 Covid-19 patients, most of whom are workers at local businesses.
