(BGO) – According to the Cooperative Alliance in the northern
province of Bac Giang, there are 8 newly established cooperatives locally
including 5 agricultural and 3 non-agricultural models.
To date, the province is home to 719 cooperative under operation in which 461 establishments work in agricultural and fishery fields (accounting for 61.4 percent), 238 models belong to non-agricultural sector (making up 33.1 percent) and 20 Peoples’ Credit Fund (accounting for 2.8 percent).

The cooperatives are mostly operated in the farming sector.

The cooperatives have a total charter capital of 1.5 trillion VND (64.8 million USD) and 37,000 members.
The operation has achieved positive changes in the province with higher quality and helped bring stable income to a number of rural labors.
Gradually, the cooperatives remove the scattered production with small size to develop linked models and large scale. Several models have boldly invested in equipment, machinery; expanded the business market and created product trademarks.

Strengthening cooperative ties between Bac Giang province and Japanese partners
(BGO)- A working delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) headed by Deputy Minister Vu Hong Nam, Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan for the period of 2018-2020, paid a working visit to Bac Giang province on 16 October about strengthening foreign affairs and developing cooperative ties between Bac Giang and Japanese partners. The delegation was welcomed by Duong Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) and leaders of some related agencies.
