Bac Giang prioritizes development of mechanical engineering, electronics

(BGO) - Bac Giang will have prioritized development of the industrial sectors including mechanical engineering, electronics, agro-forestry and food processing industry, garment and textile, footwear and other industries by 2030. 

According to the industrial development strategy of Bac Giang province until 2030 with a vision to 2035, Bac Giang is targeted to become one of the industrial centers in the region by 2030.

In the period from 2020 to 2030, it will strive to increase the industrial production value by 21 to 22 percent per year. The proportion of industrial sector in the economic structure is targeted at 44 to 45 percent in 2020 and 55 to 60 percent in 2030.

Bac Giang province has carried out land status inspection across the province since 2019 to expand the land use planning for the current industrial zones and clusters while identifying specific areas and location to build the planned industrial zones and clusters in the future.

It is planned to supplement the planning and attract investment for 5 more industrial-urban- service complexes by 2030 including Chau Minh- Mai Dinh (268 hectares), Xuan Cam- Huong Lam (300 hectars) in Hiep Hoa district, Yen Lu (400 hectares) in Yen Dung district, Hoa Yen (400 hectares) in Dong Lo commune, Hiep Hoa district and Tien Son commune, Viet Yen district and Yen Son – Bac Lung (800 hectares) in Luc Nam district.

After 2030, the province plans to supplement the planning and attract investment for 4 more industrial-urban- service complexes including Nghia Hung (300 hectares) in Lang Giang district, Tu Lan-Bich Son-Trung Son (300 hectares) in Viet Yen district, Doan Bai- Luong Phong (300 hectares) and Chau Minh - Bac Ly (200 hectares) in Hiep Hoa district.

Regarding industrial clusters, the province plans to attract investment in some industrial clusters by 2030 including Trung Son - Ninh Son (75 hectares) in Viet Yen district, Dong Dieu (30 hectares) in Tan Trung and Nha Nam communes, Ngoc Van (50 hectares), Tien Son 1 (75 hectares) in Phuc Son commune, Tien Son 2 (50 hectares) in Phuc Son commune and Kim Trang (40 hectares) in Viet Lap commune, Tan Yen district, Hoa Son - Thai Son (50 hectares) in Hiep Hoa district, Mo Trang (20 hectares) in Tam Tien commune and Dong Lac (20 hectares) in Yen The district, Nghia Phuong (20 hectares), Bao Son (30 hectares), Mai Suu (20 hectares) in Truong Son commune, Tien Hung (31 hectares), Lan son 2 in Lan Mau and Yen Son communes (75 hectares) in Luc Nam district, Tan-Quang Thinh (25 hectares) in Quang Thinh and Tan Thinh commune and Huong Son 2 (65 hectares) in Huong Son commune, Lang Giang district, An Lap (5 hectares), Yen Dinh (8 hectares) and Thanh Son (10 hectares) in Son Dong district.

After 2030, the province plans to supplement the planning and attract investment in other industrial clusters including Bien Dong (50 hectares) in Luc Ngan district, Duc Giang (75 hectares) in Yen Dung district, Thuong Tung (75 hectares) in Lao Ho and Tan An communes, Yen Dung district, Tri Yen - Lang Son (75 hectares) in Tri Yen and Lang Son commues, Yen Dung district, Quang Tien (40 hectares) in Tan Yen district and Tan Soi (25 hectares) in Yen The district.

Besides, the province will continue developing garment, textile and footwear industries but they will give priority to smart production procedures and automation creating high-added value and some advantaged industrial sectors using a large number of Bac Giang’s laborers.

In addition, the industries serving agricultural and rural development especially agro-forestry-fishery processing industry will be prioritized.
