Bac Giang ranks 9th in provincial digital transformation index
BAC GIANG - The Ministry of Information and Communications has just announced the 2023 Digital Transformation Index ranking for ministries, branches, centrally run provinces and cities. Bac Giang province continued to secure 9th position out of 63 provinces and cities.
According to the announcement, Bac Giang province had an average index score of 0.7366. In which, many component indexes were ranked in the group of 15 leading provinces and cities nationwide such as digital institutions (ranked 7th), digital economic activities (ranked 5th), digital social activities (ranked 13th).

Previously, in 2020 and 2021, Bac Giang province's digital transformation index (CDS) ranked 10th out of 63 provinces and cities and rose to 9th place in 2022.
These results were gained thanks to joint efforts of the provincial branches, sectors and departments. The provincial leader issued a plan to implement digital transformation synchronously, assigned departments and branches to promptly advise on plans to overcome low indicators.
The province built a database group on a digital platform; developed many convenient applications; supported nearly 500 newly established digital technology enterprises.
The departments, branches and localities actively applied cashless payments; supported business households, cooperatives and enterprises to put their products on e-commerce platforms.
The whole province established 209 commune-level community digital technology groups, 1,891 village-level community digital technology groups (reaching 100%) with about 16,000 members together with widespread propaganda and dissemination of digital skills.
