Bac Giang ranks first at National Badminton Championships for the Middle aged and Old Players

(BGO) – The National Badminton Championships for the Middle aged and Old Players 2020 was jointly held by Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Association of the Elderly and Department of Culture and Sports in Quang Ninh province.   

The event drew more than 300 players of 22 delegations from the provinces and cities across the country to vie for 17 sets of medals at various contents of men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles with 7 age groups of 36 – 40, 41 – 45, 46 – 50, 51 - 55, 56 – 60, 61 – 65 and over 66.

The delegation of coaches and athletes in Bac Giang province is awarded first prize at the championships.

The championships this year was orderly organized with high professional quality and good facility for competition. It also aimed to further respond to the movement “The whole nation join physical practice to follow Uncle Ho’s model” and implement “Action month for the elderly”.

26 athletes from Bac Giang delegation participated in the event. The good players performed excellently to win the trophy and first overall ranking with 4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

The gold winners were men’s doubles Hai – Hoan at 41 – 45 age group, Phu – Hung at 51 – 55 age group, mixed doubles Hoan – Nho at 56 – 60 age group and Da – Duom at 46 – 50 age group.

Hanoi delegation ranked second with 3 gold and 1 silver while the third ranking team was host Quang Ninh province with 2 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronzes medals.

Bac Giang team wins 6 medals at National Classic and Freestyle Wrestling Championships
(BGO) – The National Classic and Freestyle Wrestling Championships 2020 jointly held by the General Sports Administration and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Nam Dinh province has recently closed at the Sports Hall in Nam Dinh province.  
Bac Giang secures overall second ranking at National Youth Badminton Championships
(BGO) - The National Youth Badminton Championships was organized at the Sports Competition Hall in Kien An district, Hai Phong province from October 5 - 11, 2020, drawing 21 delegations with 136 athletes (84 men and 52 women).
Bac Giang wins gold medal at National Wushu Championships
(BGO) – The National Wushu Championships 2020 was held from October 2 – 10 at the Sports Competition Hall in Gia Lai province by the joint collaboration between the General Sports Administration and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Gia Lai province. 
Bac Giang launches Action Month for the Poor in 2020
(BGO) – The Fatherland Front’s Committee (FFC) in Bac Giang province on October 10 held a meeting to launch the Action Month for the Poor in 2020 and Welfare Programme in 2021 under the chair of Tran Cong Thang, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Chairman of the provincial FFC and Head of provincial Steering Board for the Fund for the poor.  
Bac Giang ranks second at National Team Shuttlecock Championships
(BGO) – The National Sport Administration (NSA) has coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports in Thua Thien Hue province to organize the 2020 National Team Shuttlecock Championships.
