The event, which closed on October 5 after 5 competition days at Thua Thien Hue provincial central sports hall, drew more than 130 male and female athletes from 18 provinces and cities nationwide including Hanoi, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Phu Tho, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Dong Thap and Thua Thien Hue.

Two men’s doubles of Bac Giang delegation are awarded gold and silver medals at the championships.

The athletes competed at 7 contents of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, men’s team, women’s team.

15 athletes in Bac Giang delegation attended 7 categories at the championships and won 2 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. The gold winners were Bui Dai Bao and Hoang Viet Tiep at men’s doubles and Phung Manh Tu and Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen at mixed doubles. The silver was awarded to Dang Hong Hiep and Nguyen Bao Trung in men’s doubles.

Thanks to the above result, Bac Giang delegation gained second overall ranking after Dong Thap team.
