Bac Giang receives enterprises’ donation for Covid-19 combat

(BGO) – At the Office of Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) in Bac Giang province, the FFC Chairman Tran Cong Thang and leader of the FFC and Department of Health on April 22 received the expenses and materials donated by several enterprises for the province to fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Red Cross Society calls for blood donation, effective fight against Covid-19

The donors included Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company donating 280 million VND or 11,900 USD (10,000 fabric face masks in first period and 100 million VND and 12,500 fabric face masks in second period); Bac Giang Mineral JSC donating 20 million VND (851 USD); Xuan An Company Limited donating 20 million VND; 379 Investment JSC presenting 20 million VND.

The FFC Chairman Tran Cong Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the donation from the businesses. He took the occasion to announce that over 31 billion VND (1.3 million USD) in cash, material and food...has been donated to the FFC at all levels in the province by many organization, enterprises and individuals in and outside the province since calling on all people to join hands in Covid-19 prevention and control.

The province has used the donated source to timely support and implement the task of disease prevention and combat in the province.

The FFC Chairman hoped to further receive the donation and accompany from the kind-hearted organizations, firms and individuals to support the local authority to fight against Covid-19 pandemic.

Bac Giang calls for humanity tissue and organ donation

(BGO) – The Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) Festival was launched on February 16 by the Steering Board for VBD in the northern province of Bac Giang at the Building B of the provincial Inter-Agency Headquater.

Red Spring festival: Vietnam’s biggest blood donation campaign

Launched in 2008, the annual Red Spring festival has seen 215,000 blood donors through the previous 12 editions, with 78,620 blood units collected. This year, it takes place from February 11 to 22.

US Embassy hosts blood donation campaign

The Embassy of the US in Vietnam launched a blood donation campaign on January 10. As many as 269 people registered to donate their blood at the annual event, the eighth of its kind.
