(BGO) – Due to the recent hot days, most of the farmers in the
northern province of Bac Giang have to wake up early to harvest the lychees
then pack and transport them to the purchasing points.
Tran Van Hanh in Giap Son commune (Luc Ngan district) said on June 11 his family started harvesting the lychee from 4 am till 7 am then he loaded 300 kilograms of lychees to the weighting points on the national road No.31.

At that time, the tradesmen paid him 48,000 VND (2.06 USD) per kilogram, thus he earned 15 million VND (644 USD) for a batch of lychee.
The statistic showed that as of June 11, the province sold nearly 56,000 tonnes of lychee, including over 19,000 tonnes of main season fruits. There was almost no more early ripen lychees.
The fruit still enjoys stable high price of 35,000 – 50,000 VND per kilogram. The crossbred lychee is sold at 45,000 – 60,000 VND per kilogram. The ice is sold out with the price of 35 – 50,000 VND per bar due to the hot weather.
100 tonnes of lychees exported via Lao Cai border gate
(BGO) – The Customs Division at Lao Cai Border Gate (Lao Cai
province) cleared the customs procedures for over 110 tonnes of fresh lychee from
May 7 to June 3, mostly originated from Bac Giang province to export to China
via Kim Thanh International Border Gate Road No.2, worth 34.4 million USD.
Luc Ngan lychee week slated on June 7 in Hanoi

province) on June 4 held a press conference about the Lychee Week and Forum of
Connecting the Production and Consumption of Luc Ngan Lychee and Signature Products
(Week and Forum) at the Hanoi Center of Exhibition, Introduction and
Distribution of Safe Food and Farm Produce in Hanoi.
Saigon Co.op takes northern lychees around the country
The Saigon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co.op) will buy 500-700 tonnes of thieu lychees, a unique fruit grown in the northern province of Bac Giang’s Luc Ngan District, this year, 25 percent more than in 2018.
