To win in 2021 lychee season, PPC issued the above mentioned plan to ensure and commit the trademark, quality, safe and disease free lychee of Bac Giang to both domestic customers and export markets as well as ease the consumption in all circumstances.

Accordingly, medical inspection station will be set up at the major roads to concentrated lychee production areas, including: inspect and make medical declaration, check body temperature, spray disinfectants to all vehicles in and out the areas prior to May 15, 2021.

Make the list and implement medical checkup to all localities with lychee growing area codes, lychee orchards, farms, cooperatives, working groups before May 20, 2021; to lychee package and preliminary processing facilities in the area from May 20 till the end of June 5, 2021.

Make the list and implement medical checkup to drivers and lychee transport vehicles in the areas. All drivers must have their samples tested. Certificate of negative to Covid-19 pandemic will be issued by authorized medical agency from May 20, 2021.

All workers from other localities who are hired to harvest, pack and deliver lychees will have their samples taken for Covid-19 test to ensure disease safety.

At the same time, the local authority focuses on instructing to produce lychee with good quality, strictly supervising the production area, especially the use of plant protection product, analyzing residue of plant protection product before export to ensure all batches of export lychee meet the regulation.

Prepare document to confirm the quality of lychee to domestic and foreign markets which is free from Covid-19 disease.

PPC Chairman also ordered the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Health, provincial Public Security, districts and city to base on the function and tasks to well implement the proposed contents.

Bac Giang Newspaper and press agencies should coordinate to build plans of organization, communication, promotion and introduction of Bac Giang lychee grown in disease free area; regularly update information about production and quality of lychee and farm produce as well as consumption market...to help the farmers have ease consumption with increased product value.
