Bac Giang sets up mobile medical station

(BGO) – The mobile medical station model is set up in line with the instruction of the Health Department to actively enhance the health care for the provincial residents in case Covid-19 patients are treated and quarantined at home, thus contributing to increasing the treatment quality, easing overload in concentrated treatment facilities and hospitals.

One is established for each residential area with less than 50 infections treated at home and if 20 more cases are detected at the same area, one more professional staff (nurse or doctor) will be added (not over 100 cases per station).

The mobile medical station is to control and monitor Covid-19 patients at home and community.

The model is under direct management of director of district level medical center to control and monitor Covid-19 patients at home and community, particularly instructing, consulting, regularly monitoring the health condition and assisting to care for infected case quarantined at home in line with the instruction from the Ministry of Health.

The station organizes to conduct rapid SARS-CoV-2 test for local people, take samples of suspected persons and send to labs for affirmation RT-PCR test. In case of detecting any infection, it helps to screen to impose home isolation to qualified cases or tranfer the others to centralized quarantine area as regulation; instruct people to self conduct rapid test and the way to process with positive result.

Moreover, the station controls the list of local people waiting for Covid-19 vaccine, acts as a vaccination point or cooperate with competent agencies to administer the vaccine doses.

The station provides examination, treatment services and medicine to patients of other diseases as well as conduct other tasks assigned by the medical center at district level.

The mobile medical station is equipped with essential equipment for Covid-19 prevention and control and examination of normal diseases as well as office and human resources for operation 24 hour per day to serve local demand of heath checkup and treatment.
