The 27 year old runner was followed by Nguyen Thi Huong Giang from Quang Binh province at 10 minutes 44 seconds 42 and Le Thi Thanh Nga from Ha Tinh province after 11 minutes 5 seconds 1.

Nguyen Thi Oanh wins gold medal at women’s 3000-meter steeplechase event.

Bac Giang track and field team attended the National Sport Festival with 12 members (7 male and 5 female) with the target of 3 golds at 3000-meter steeplechase, women’s 1,500 meter and 5,000 meter run. Nguyen Thi Oanh is the biggest hope for this target.

As the competition scheme, Oanh will enter final round of women’s 5,000 meter run on December 15; women’s 1,500 run and 10,000 meter run categories on December 17.

Also in the afternoon of December 14, Phung Manh Tu and Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen (born in 1999) of Bac Giang Shuttlecock Team won gold medal at mixed doubles’ content at the Gymnasium of Duong Huy Coal Company in Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh province.

(BGO) – Bac Giang born runner Nguyen Thi Oanh won two golds in athletics at the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) on May 14, the second official day of competition, at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium.  Oanh successfully defended her titles in the women’s 1,500m and 5,000m events.
