Diverse sources

Bac Giang now has more than 440,000 children (accounting for 27.41 percent of the population) including over 60,000 cases living in poor, near poor families; over 3,200 orphans; nearly 6,000 children with disabilities (1,040 children with specially critical disabilities and 1,150 children with critical disabilities), hundreds of children suffering from congenital heart disease and other social diseases... who really need support.

To gain sources of support, the officers and staff at the Fund have actively consulted the leader of the Department of Labor, Invalid and Social Affairs (DoLISA) and directly called for various donation to enhance the effectiveness of the fund raising.

At the same time, they well conduct the survey, make the list, send address and specific situation of the school and children with difficult circumstances, build programme and project which ensure the legal procedure as well as the Fund’s criteria and operation purpose to the domestic and foreign agencies, enterprises, organization and individuals to call for the donation.

Also, the Fund expands to call for the donation from the Bac Giang born success businesspersons in Vietnam and foreign countries.

From the mobilized sources, the Fund annually presents 300 scholarships and sponsored scholarships, 100 bicycles to impoverished children or those living far from the school; supports to build two clean water projects to the educational facilities with water difficulties for years. Total value of the sponsor hit some 1 billion VND (43.365 USD).

In 2018 and 2020, the Fund called for Tri Duc Service Trade Company Limited (Hanoi city) to present the automatic biochemistry analyzer worth 900 million VND (390,290 USD) and Phuong Tay Medical Technology Joint Stock Company (Hanoi city) to sponsor automatic hematology analyzer worth 400 million VND (17,300 USD) to Bac Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital to join hands in caring for the health of mother and children.

Since early 2020, the project of building 60 square meter closed farm to raise chicken for egg has been officially operated at second facility of the provincial Center of General Social Protection which was sponsored by CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company together with equipment, more than 200 chickens, food, vaccine totally worth 224.3 million VND (9,700 USD).

Particularly, teachers and students at Nghia Phuong 1 Primary School (Luc Nam district) are happier with new spacious classrooms in the upcoming new academic year. The project was started in November 2019 to build 8 classrooms in a two storey building of 388 square meters with total investment of over 5.3 billion VND (229,800 USD) in which 5 billion VND sponsored by Long Thanh Golf Business and Investment JSC via Vietnam Children’s Fund and a part of the district budget.

Accompanying the impoverished children

According to leader of the DoLISA, the Fund’s operation greatly helps realize the target of National Action Programme for Vietnamese Children in the period 2012 – 2020.

The Fund’s leader and sponsor hand over the automatic hematology analyzer to Bac Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

It also supports to reduce the rate of children living in special circumstance. The fund raising activities always pass and exceed the set target while the rate of impoverished children receiving care and support is higher than previous year.

At the moment, due to the general impact of Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam and global, the fund raising campaign is seriously affected. With the motto “Dedication – Transparency – Timely – Companion”, Director of the Fund Nguyen Thi Hai Yen said the set target in 2020 is now passed and exceeded thanks to the active instruction from the MoLISA leader and great effort of the officers and staff at the Fund.

The donated sources reached 1.747 billion VND (75.7 million USD) including 1.335 billion VND from domestic and over 412 million VND from foreign sources which are used to practical tasks.
