Bac Giang synchornously develops infrastructure of industrial clusters to attract secondary investors

(BGO) – Recently, the levels, sectors, districts and city in Bac Giang province have paid due attention to synchronously develop the industrial clusters (IC) to attract more investors to implement the production and business projects, which is a key factor to switch the economic structure and change the appearance of many localities. 

Selecting suitable investors

For the first 6 months of this year, the province has compensated and cleared a bout 105ha of land for IC construction, helping the investors synchronously build the infrastructure as the plan to draw more secondary investors.

Viet Yen district now has 4 ICs, including Hoang Mai,Viet Tien, Tang Tien and Van ha. Since early this year, the district has focused on the site work and selected the investors with potential finance capability and experiences.

Similarly, Hiep Hoa district only had 3 IC before 2015 with few secondary investors due to scattered or no infrastructure. Now, the district has planned and built 7 ICs, including Hop Thinh, Viet Nhat, Thanh Van, Ha Thinh, Doan Bai, Doan Bai – Luong Phong 1 and Doan Bai – Luong Phong 2.

Since early this year, the investors have coordinated with the district People’s Committee and relevant departments and agencies to highly focus on the site work and compensation to some 20ha to build the necessary infrastructure and recover the lack of synchronization and scattered scale in the past.

Striving to reach occupy rate of 80 percent

The province has 40 ICs with total area of nearly 1,384 ha and 186 projects, 176 of which are operated, 10 are under construction, making up total occupy rate of over 51 percent. The registered capital hit 32,765 billion VND (1.4 billion USD) while the implemented capital is estimated at 8,675 billion VND (374.3 million USD).

The province has 40 ICs with total area of nearly 1,384 ha and 186 projects, 176 of which are operated, 10 are under construction, making up total occupy rate of over 51 percent. The registered capital hit 32,765 billion VND (1.4 billion USD) while the implemented capital is estimated at 8,675 billion VND (374.3 million USD).

Apart from the power, road, entertainment places, car parking station..., many ICs have completed the synchronous waste water treatment system to reduce the arising consequences from the production facilities which could pollute the environment.

At the same time, the ICs have attracted several production enterprises, helping create jobs to about 45,000 rural labourers and change the career structure.

According to Head of the Industrial Management Division Ha Van Hanh (under the Department of Industry and Trade), the province consulted and planned to build and expand 22 ICs in the period 2021 – 2030 as well as completing the infrastructure, handling the “clean” plane with huge scale to welcome projects and create driving force for the provincial economy.

The Department has focused on proposing to complete the infrastructure and strive to reach occupy rate of 80 percent at the key ICs by 2025 while reviewing to remove the ineffective ICs and build the waste water treatment systems in every IC.

To well implement the set contents, the Department continues instructing the units to effectively implement the guidance from Center and province about investment, site clearance at IC, administrative reform so as to facilitate the investors in proceeding the license related procedures.

Viet Tien industrial cluster (Viet Yen district) has synchronous infrastructure and draws many secondary enterprises.

The Supervision Group should be founded to expedite and help the owner to handle the obstacle to hit the committed schedule. The Department of Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, the People’s Committee in the districts and city must focus on the site clearance measure, infrastructure construction to draw secondary investors to the areas.

Especially in the upcoming time, the Department of Industry and Trade should coordinate with the competent agencies, districts and city to carefully select the enterprises satisfying such criteria of economical use of land fund, application of modern technology, potential capability to contribute to the budget; actively welcome new wave of investment to drive the local socio-economic growth.
