Bac Giang thoroughly prepares for 2023 Spring Festival and Culture – Tourism Week

(BGO) – The Permanent Vice Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Mai Son on November 2 chaired a meeting with organizations, agencies and localities to finalize the scheme of “Buddha music night” at Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district), procession of sutra – carved wood block “Yen Tu nhat trinh and Cu tran lac dao phu” from Vinh Nghiem pagoda to Thuong pagoda, Tay Yen Tu (Son Dong district).

It is among the prominent activities of 2023 Spring Festival and Culture – Tourism Week launched by PPC.

As schedule, the 2023 Spring Festival and Culture – Tourism Week will be organized at provincial level in 6 days from February 1 – 6, 2023 (lunar January 11 – 16, 2023) at Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecotourism Complex in Son Dong district, some districts and Bac Giang city.

The event consists of 15 activities, 8 of which will be launched at provincial level and 7 at local level. Moreover, “Buddha music night” themed “Vinh Nghiem – Pride of wisdom” is held at 8pm on February 1, 2023 in Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district) in connection to bridge point at Vinh Nghiem pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city.

Concluding the meeting, Permanent PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son acknowledged the suggestion and pressed on huge importance, scale and meaning of the event. He called on urgent and thorough preparation from all parties, especially for the procession to create good impression on local people, Buddhist followers and visitors.

Regarding to “Buddha music night”, the consultant was ordered to research and supplement the suggestions then harmoniously integrate the content, music, image and attractive performance to reproduce the though and value of Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist sect.

All revelant agencies and districts must thoroughly prepare all stages for the procession event so as to ensure the public order and traffic safety.

The press agencies were requested to boost communication about the event to promote the value of cultural and tourism heritage in Tay Yen Tu to Buddhist followers and visitors.

The Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism was ordered to research and select new feature at Culture – Tourism Week to effectively create good impression in communicating, introducing and promoting the image of the land and people in Bac Giang.
