Bac Giang to spend nearly 93.7 billion VND maintaining roads in 2021

(BGO) – Under the 2021 road maintenance plan freshly approved by the provincial People's Committee, Bac Giang will spend nearly 93.7 billion VND (4.06 million USD) maintaining roads managed by the locality this year. The sum will be sourced from the local non-business capital in 2021 and the central budget allocated for the locality (of which 35 percent is from toll revenues).

Specifically, the province will allocate 45 billion VND from the local non-business capital in 2021 for the regular management and maintenance of 18 provincial roads and 8 district roads managed by the province with a total length of 468 km, and for the periodic repair of some routes in Tan Yen, Yen Dung and Lang Giang districts.

It also plans to use nearly 48.7 billion VND from the central budget to complete six projects which kicked off in 2020 and one new project, including the repairs of the foundation, road surface and drainage ditch from Km3 to Km10 of provincial road 295; Dong bridge on provincial road 298; Vat bridge on provincial road 296; provincial road 295 - section from Km30 to Km34; and provincial road 295 - section from Km34 to Km42+500.

The provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Transport to organize the implementation of the projects in an economical and effective manner in line with the law.
