Bac Giang well prepares conditions to organize trade promotion for key farm produce
The province has about 10,800 ha of citrus fruit with total productivity of 84,800 tonnes of fruits while Luc Ngan district has 6,740 ha of citrus fruits with estimated output of over 60,000 tonnes. The district also prepared two scenarios to consume orange and pomelo when Covid-19 pandemic outbreaks or is under control.

At the meeting, Chairman of Luc Ngan district People’s Committee proposed the PPC to issue document to the People’s Committee in the provincies and cities nationwide suggesting them to create favourable policies and conditions to trucks carrying orange and pomelo from Luc Ngan district to enter their areas.
The Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) was requested to enhance the introduction, promotion and consumption of the farm produce on e-commercial platform; invite businesses, supermarkets and stores to join hands in consuming orange, pomelo and other key farm produce of the district.
On November 1, PPC Chairman issued Plan to organize consumption promotion event for orange, pomelo, custard apple, pork, chicken meat, key and signature agricultural products of the province in 2021. The province will chair the event by both online and in-person formats which is scheduled on 8 am – 9:45 am on November 11.
Speaking at the event, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan assigned the DoIT to be the key contact point to connect the departments and sectors to successfully organize the newly issued Plan. He urged the local press agencies to focus on communication task so as to promote not only orange and pomelo of Luc Ngan district but also other farm produce of the province to boost up the consumption.
Previously, the delegation visited the orchard of Nguyen Van Huu in Xe Cu village, Thanh Hai commune which is one of 12 outstanding orchards selected by Luc Ngan district People’s Committee to welcome visitors.
