Particularly, 10 athletes in Bac Giang team competed in table tennis and badminton at the national sport games for people with disabilities held in Thai Nguyen province and won 11 medals.

In table tennis content, the players bagged 2 golds in men’s team (level of disability TT9-10 and T10); 3 silvers in men’s doubles (level of disability TT10), men’s team and doubles (level of disability TT8) and bronzes.

In badminton category, Bac Giang’s members gained 2 silver medals in men’s team and doubles and 2 bronze medals in men’s team and doubles events.

Besides, 16 athletes joined the national badminton tourney for excellent player recently held in Thai Binh province to compete in 5 contents, including men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles and won 5 medals (1 gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes). They secured the overall second ranking.

Gold winner was athlete Tran Thi Phuong Thuy (women’s singles) while silver medals were awarded to Than Van Anh and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan (women’s doubles).

In mixed doubles event, two players Than Van Anh and Pham Van Hai pocketed a silver medal. Two bronzes were bestowed to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan (women’s singles) and Tran Thi Phuong Thuy and Vu Thi Yen (women’s doubles).

Thus, Bac Giang athletes won 16 medals of all kinds at two national sport championships.
