The players competed in blitz and standard chess categories at 8 different age groups of U 6, U 7, U 9, U 11, U 13, U 15, U 17 and U 20 for men and women.

15 players from Bac Giang delegation joined the event and performed excellently with 2 golds and 3 bronzes. The gold medals were awarded to two female players namely Luong Hoang Tu Linh (U15 blitz chess) and Nguyen Thuy Linh (U11 standard chess).

Thanks to the gold medal at this event, the chess player Nguyen Thuy Linh officially gains the ticket to ASEAN Youth Chess Championship 2019 in the upcoming time.
