Speaking at the conference, Bac Giang PPC Secretary Duong Van Thai pressed on several similarities in term of total area, population and cultural identities between two provinces in the Northern mountainous and midland region. Two neibouring localities are located within the Capital planning region and area of Military Zone No.1. Both provinces were refounded in 1997 and gained positive and impressive development after 25 years of reestablishment.

The delegates discussed and exchanged various experiences in every aspect of life at the meeting. Also, the PPC’s Standing Committee of two provinces agreed to ink the Merorandum of understanding.

Accordingly, two provinces enhance and expand comprehensive cooperation, actively exchange information and share experience to support each other to tap the potentials and advantages, accelerate the socio-economic growth, ensure national defense and security as well as build a strong political system.

Local authorities join hands to build Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang cities to be development pole and vital nucleus in developing the economy in the Northern mountainous and Midland region.

More cooperation is done to boost up digital transformation, administrative reform; improve the business and investment environment; enhance the provincial competitive idex as well as investment promotion to lure more foreign investment.

Two provinces enhance linkage in agro-fishery production under value chain and tour connection between two localities. More collaboration is made to prevent and control natural disaster; ensure the water quality and quantity in Nui Coc lake and the main flow of Cau river to serve production and living demand for the resident on the downstream area.

Both provinces cooperate to propose the Ministry of Transport to upgrade the route connecting Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen soon among others.
