There remained several shortcomings such as low rate of inspection of industrial and trade facilities (61.4 percent of the yearly target); loose management of scattered facilities in agriculture, industrial and trade fields at the communal level while it was difficult to control the food quality in online trade and handle the violated case.
There were many disqualified samples of food and agricultural materials. It was hard to control the food safety at the slaughtering facilities, manual wine making establishment, agro forestry and fishery production and trade models with small quality.
Concluding the meeting, PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong highly appreciated the tasks of situation grasping and serious instruction from the Steering Board at all levels, sectors, departments, People’s Committee in the districts and city to put the food safety in order with good change in three levels in violation handle.
He urged all levels and authorities to enhance the responsibility and efficiency of the inter-sector Steering Board on food safety as well as the instruction and management of the leaders of localities and agencies.
The departments, sectors, districts and city should review the critera and execution schedule so as to fulfil the assigned task in 2019.
Also, it is necessary to boost the supply – demand connection, introduce the supply source of safe food, expand the safe production area to provide the clean product to domestic and export markets.
