Da Nang chosen as wedding venue for two Indian billionaire families

Authorities in Da Nang, a popular tourism hub, revealed two Indian billionaires would organize wedding parties in the central coastal city next January.

At a meeting with Da Nang tourism officials in India last week, Satish Ramnani, director of Veydaa Events Company, said his company is working with Vietnamese partners to arrange a wedding party for an Indian billionaire family with 450 guests in January next year, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center reported.

While discussing tourism cooperation with officials from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, Global Air Services Company also announced its plan to organize a wedding feast for another Indian billionaire, also in Da Nang next January.

The identities of these Indian billionaires have not been revealed.

In late November 2019, an Indian billionaire family hosted a wedding party lasting four days for their daughter in Da Nang with more than 600 guests.

Budget carrier Vietjet Air will launch its first direct flights from Da Nang to Mumbai with a frequency of three flights per week from Oct. 17.

Da Nang is the busiest tourist city in central Vietnam, and is used as a springboard to access three world famous heritage sites – Hue Imperial Capital, My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Town.

Since Vietnam opened international tourism in March this year, the number of international visitors to Da Nang has reached 200,000, beyond the central city's annual target of 180,000.

In the first nine months of 2022, Vietnam welcomed 94,000 Indian visitors.

There were about 200,000 Indian visitors to Vietnam in 2019.
